Material Handler WH

SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to load and unload material from incoming/outbound trucks, while maintaining a clean and safe work area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to read and understand orders.
• Read, understand, and follow Warehouse procedures.
• Can accurately log and retain data i.e. receiving paperwork, inventory items, forklift inspections.
• Inspect outbound and inbound materials
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Understand and follow permit procedures i.e. confined space, hot work, and line break.
• Ability to identify, communicate and mitigate if possible all unsafe behaviors, conditions and spills.
• Operate forklift and conduct forklift inspections.
• Comply to all environmental regulations.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Demonstrated good stewardship skills (Environmental, Health, and Safety).
• Responsible care chemical handling requirements.
• Adherence to Quality management system.
• Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
• Strong written and oral communications skills.
• Ability to work overtime, as needed.
• Ability to multi-task, must be a quick learner and adapt to change.
