The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women's and 10 men's programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation's premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as "The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory. |
Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator I for Athletics Marketing & Communication. This position works under the supervision of the Associate Athletic Director of Marketing.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Handles administration of database marketing campaigns through the use of AdobeCampaign, Salesforce CRM (Customer Relationship Management system) and other systems in the ticket marketing, sales and service ecosystem.
- Serves as marketing contact for assigned sports with oversight of planning and promotional efforts, fan experience and game day.
- Manages all email/text communication to the Rutgers fanbase including content creation, segmentation, scheduling, engagement and tracking return on investment while working with additional external units (R Fund, SAMCO, Scarlet Knights for Life, Communications, etc.).
- Serves as the primary contact between Athletic Ticket Office and our ticket vendor's marketing automation team.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in marketing, ticketing or or database management in intercollegiate athletics, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Certifications/Licenses |
- A valid driver's license would be required for this position; Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.
|
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- High level of communication skills, strong organizational skills and capable of handling multiple tasks at once.
- Over the course of a year, this position will successfully deliver 10mil+ emails to Rutgers Athletics constituents. It is important that this position has experience deploying email campaigns, has a firm understanding of the system utilized and extremely strong communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Three (3) years' experience in marketing, ticketing or database management in intercollegiate athletics.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Sport Management.
- Knowledge of Paciolan Ticketing System, Email & Marketing Automations.
