DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this highly professional management position, you will play a vital role in overseeing administrative and supervisory responsibilities for the clinical services provided to adjudicated youth at the BJJS Youth Development Center/Youth Forestry Camp. Your main focus will be on the rehabilitation and social development of court-committed, adjudicated delinquent youth, and you will be responsible for constantly reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and improving clinical treatment programs. This will require ensuring that all programs are in compliance with BJJS and Department of Human Services policies and procedures. Furthermore, you will have the important task of supervising both supervisory and non-supervisory staff members, ensuring that they are effectively carrying out their duties to the highest standard.

- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work hours and schedule may change based on operational needs
- Travel and overtime as operationally necessary
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or a Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, mental retardation and/or behavioral dysfunction.
Special Requirement:
- You must possess a current license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possess a current license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out of state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of employment.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be willing to accept employment at Southeast Youth Development Center and commute to this location in Montgomery County.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
