Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dependable Building Tech Mechanic with extensive plumbing experience to support the maintenance, repair, and operational needs of our building systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, as well as a solid foundation in general building maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities: Perform skilled plumbing work including installation, maintenance, and repair of water supply lines, drainage systems, water heaters, pumps, valves, fixtures, and related equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, low water pressure, and faulty components. Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on plumbing systems and mechanical equipment. Assist in general building maintenance including basic HVAC, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks as needed. Maintain compliance with building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations. Respond to work orders and emergency maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Coordinate with outside vendors or contractors for specialized repairs. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts inventory. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in building maintenance with a focus on plumbing. Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and tools. Familiarity with other building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and mechanical equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments. Valid driver's license; plumbing license or certification is a plus. Work Environment: On-site, physical work involving mechanical systems and equipment. May require working after-hours or on-call for emergency repairs.
