Onsite Location : Issaquah, WA Qualifications: Required Skills/Qualifications:
- 15+ yrs. of experience in Quality Engineering with at least 3-5 years in cloud-native and microservices-based programs.
- Strong working knowledge on Retail - Order Management and Supply Chain domain
- Hands on experience in Testing market available OMS solutions (like Sterling) and/or custom OMS platforms in retail environments, especially those involving high-volume order processing, inventory synchronization, and multi-channel fulfilment
- Solid understanding of microservices testing strategies including contract testing, service virtualization, and chaos engineering.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Good knowledge on building automation framework using Reqnroll (SpecFlow alternative) with test scripts developed in C# to ensure alignment with the .NET tech stack and supports BDD practices and CI/CD tools (Argo CD).
- API and Microservices Automation experience - automating RESTful APIs and microservices which includes validation of order lifecycle events such as creation, sourcing, confirmation, fulfilment, and settlement
- Experience in handling quality in Agile/DevOps environments.
Preferred Skills/Qualification:
- Understanding of DevOps practices including automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines is good to have.
- Exposure to tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and monitoring frameworks is a plus
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - for cloud-native solution oversight.
- DevOps Foundation or Practitioner Certification - to validate CI/CD and automation capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, while understanding their needs and goals.
- Define and drive the quality assurance (QA) strategy aligned with architecture principles. This includes establishing test automation frameworks, performance testing protocols, and continuous quality gates across CI/CD pipelines.
- Establish and supervise quality metrics such as defect leakage, automation coverage, test execution velocity, and SLA alignment. Ensure these are reported openly to collaborators.
- Handle end-to-end test lifecycle including test strategy, planning, design, execution, and defect management. Ensure traceability from requirements to test cases and defects.
- Collaborate closely with DevOps to integrate quality checks into build and deploy pipelines. Work with architects to ensure testability of microservices and APIs.
- Seek opportunities to offer additional services that meet client needs.
- Collaborate efficiently with offshore team and establish clear communication channels to ensure seamless delivery without leakages

Salary and Other Compensation:

- The annual salary for this position is between $83,250/- to $131,500/- depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
- This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans
