Purpose of Position

The Sr. Manager, Marketing is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and performance of all marketing programs that drive awareness, acquisition, conversion, and retention across FlightSafety International business segments. This role oversees growth and engagement initiatives, including a multi-million-dollar global paid media program, CRM, trade shows, and sponsorships, with a focus on delivering a measurable ROI. The ideal candidate combines a strong strategic mindset, with hands-on execution ability and thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment. They can prioritize and manage multiple projects, and demonstrate a strong interest in emerging media, technology, creative trends, and measurement strategies in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Growth Program Ownership: Lead the strategy and execution of all growth initiatives that contribute to new business acquisition and recurring booking events across the customer lifecycle.
  • Media Strategy & Efficacy: Collaborate with agency partners on all paid media activities, including but not limited to search, paid social, display, native, sponsored content, and print advertising. Continuously monitor performance and optimize campaigns to drive efficiency, reach the targeted audiences, and maximize ROI.
  • Email Marketing & Automation: Oversee messaging touchpoints across client journeys including lead acquisition, conversion, engagement, and the full customer lifecycle.
  • Trade Shows, Events, & Sponsorships: Oversee the events strategy and performance measurement for trade shows and sponsorships. Work cross-functionally with the Events and Sales teams on the activation plan and channel performance to ensure events drive measurable impact.
  • Marketing Performance and Reporting: Analyze the customer lifecycle across channels and experiences, measure campaign performance against KPIs and ROI, and deliver regular performance reports/dashboards and actionable insights to internal stakeholders.
  • CRM Data Management: Organize and maintain CRM data, identifying relevant segments to drive strategic conversion behaviors. Collaborate with Sales and Operations to drive high potential customer segments to open capacity training programs and devices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with external media agencies and vendors to optimize the media program. Collaborate with internal teams, including Sales, to leverage insights on trends and media performance, ensuring cohesive teamwork.
  • Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Supervise and mentor a small team of marketing specialists across CRM and paid media. Partner closely with event managers, creative teams, sales, operations, fostering a results-driven and collaborative culture.
  • Budget Oversight: Oversee media budget, optimizing spend and resource allocation based on campaign performance, market trends, and overall business objectives.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Social Sciences or related field
Minimum Experience
  • 7+ years of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Proven experience developing integrated marketing strategies that drive measurable growth across the customer lifecycle.
  • Experience managing paid media (agency or in-house).
  • Experience working with CRM platforms and marketing automation.
  • Good judgement and strong collaborative skills, with the ability to navigate and influence across different functions of an organization.
  • Ability to move at a fast pace, prioritize and quickly shift focus as needed.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with a data-driven mindset; ability to interpret performance trends, uncover insights, and inform marketing decisions. Advanced Excel skills, familiarity with SQL or data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Ability to implement brand guidelines and apply brand lens to all executions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software.
  • Management experience with the ability to mentor and grow high-performing teams
