Primary Purpose Responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring multiple initiatives aimed at improving clinical outcomes in different care settings, with particular focus on outcomes impacting value-based payments and hospital rating. Responsible for collaborating with clinical staff, administrators, and support functions in order to achieve desired goals and maximize the value for Parkland and our patients. Activities include, but are not limited to, project management, process improvement, education and mentoring, auditing, reporting, etc. Minimum Specifications Education
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Prefer a Master's degree in a related field.
Experience
- Must have two (2) years of Project Management experience, managing increasingly complex projects.
- Prefer project management experience in a healthcare setting.
- Prefer clinical experience.
Equivalent Education and/or Experience
- May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the education and the experience requirements.
Certification/Registration/Licensure
- Prefer Category I Project Management Professional certification by the Project Management Institute.
- Prefer Six Sigma certification

Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, provides project management leadership through planning, managing, performing, controlling, and reporting on the work performed by individual project teams on multiple, concurrent, and increasingly complex projects.
- Under general supervision, applies Parkland's Project Management direction, methodology, and processes to assigned projects, in order to achieve organizational goals in support of the 1115 Waiver Initiative. Facilitates the process(s) of developing project objectives and deliverables.
- Ensures comprehensive and consistent documentation and reporting of project metrics, including project variance(s), including milestone tracking, resource usage, and change control. Develops the project schedule, ensuring timely project completion.
- Works with assigned managers, internal/external customers, and vendors to project, identify, obtain, and resolve conflicting demands on resources. Negotiates with a multidisciplinary team to implement projects on time, on budget, and with appropriate quality.
- Proactively identifies and communicates issues and risk. Makes recommendations and suggestions to assigned manager and implements mitigation and contingency strategies to ensure project health.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative, responsive customer service with internal and external customers by providing continuous follow through and communication regarding project(s) health and priorities.
- Initiates, develops, and implements changes to project management processes, methods, and tools to improve effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency that improve the overall goals of the department and Parkland.
- Maintains knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines that impact the 1115 Waiver Initiative. Develops effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans. Seeks advice and guidance as necessary to ensure proper understanding.
- Identifies ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction. Makes recommendations to supervisor, implements, and monitors results as appropriate in support of the overall goals of the department and Parkland.
- Stays abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field of Project Management by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, and actively participating in professional organizations. Integrates knowledge gained into current work practices.
- Participates in planning/production of Region 9 Learning Collaboratives as part of the 1115 Waiver Initiative program.
