The Department of Radiology at New Jersey Medical School at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Newark is recruiting a full-time Breast Imager for its Division of Diagnostic Imaging. We are seeking a candidate at the Assistant Professor level or higher to join our dynamic and evolving division; new graduates are also encouraged to apply. We serve a diverse community with a wide range of interesting cases. We are a collegial department that values education of residents, clinical excellence, and faculty personal growth and well-being. The Department of Radiology has 28 clinical and research faculty members, and 18 diagnostic radiology residents who provide patient care for all the major divisions of contemporary imaging. The department is responsible for all aspects of breast imaging at University Hospital, a tertiary care center as well as the Doctor's Office Center, an outpatient facility on campus. University Hospital is a liver transplant center and a Level 1 trauma center.
The successful applicant will be fellowship trained in breast imaging or have at least 1 year experience with breast imaging, must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree, must be
MQSA certified and
ABR eligible or certified in Diagnostic Radiology.
Clinical responsibilities will include all aspects of breast imaging including screening mammography in 2D and 3D, diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast
MRI and the full gamut of image-guided breast procedures.
