Job Summary

The IT Compliance Manager position is responsible for overseeing compliance and audit activities within the IT department. The manager will assess compliance with internal policies and standards, as well as external regulations (i.e. Sarbanes Oxley). The manager will work as a liaison between the IT department and Internal and/or External Auditors. Also, the manager is responsible for overseeing the IT Compliance Specialists.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • People Management
    • Attract, develop and retain team members
    • Identifies employees and team development needs and enables their growth
    • Set KPI's and effectively monitor by managing expectations and removing impediments
    • Provides instructions and conduct regular coaching
    • Continuously improve performance
    • Efficient collaboration within and across teams
    • Coordination and planning of total workload and setting priorities
    • Reporting progress on planning, changes and issues
    • Serve as backup support for IT Compliance Specialists, as required
  • Support and provide expertise on compliance matters
    • Ensure best practices are adopted and policies and procedures are followed
    • Ensure any new applications, entities, or enhancements to existing ones are compliant before audit period
    • Work with Internal Audit and IT management teams to resolve/mitigate any findings, as needed
  • Review of compliance documents
    • Responsible for overseeing the completion of IT General Controls done by the IT Compliance Specialists.
    • Monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reviews for compliance controls
    • Reviews requested by IT management team
    • Review and update IT Standards, Policies and narratives, as needed
  • Strategic Development of the Global IT Compliance
    • Transition from SOx relevant IT Controls to a Risk Based approach
    • Drive the alignment and integration of IT Compliance into a Global Team
    • Cultivate growth and innovation by means of automation, continuous control monitoring, etc.
    • Support transition of IT Compliance activities into Darling ServiceNow environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or associates degree in related technical / business or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of IT Compliance experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master degree in ICT, Computer Science or related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in Audit and Compliance within Information Technology.
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley law/regulation
  • Knowledge in CIS Controls, SOC1/SOC2 Certifications, COBIT, or any other Security/Compliance Framework
  • Highly organized; superior time management skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and oral to be able to communicate well with all levels of the corporation
  • Self-motivated; self-starter
  • Strong attention to detail
