Overview

The AFC program is formulated and directed by the Global Head of AFC. The AFC Department's Testing team, for the Americas region, is responsible for conducting AFC reviews and tests under the direction of the Americas Head of Compliance, AFC Testing and Quality Assurance ("QA") in order to assess and review compliance with legal, regulatory and internal firm policy requirements and work with the Business and other stakeholders to design appropriate remedial actions to mitigate identified risks.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct AFC Testing under the direction of the Americas Head of Compliance and AFC Testing & quality assurance (QA), Americas Deputy Head of AFC Testing and QA and Regional AFC Testing Lead in order to assess and review compliance with legal, regulatory and internal firm policy requirements applicable to Deutsche Bank products and services in the Americas

  • Conduct design effectiveness and operating effectiveness testing across all Deutsche Bank Americas Business activities and controls to evaluate adherence to regulatory requirements and whether or not a risk management framework is in place and is effectively managing AFC risks

  • Determine the root cause of issues and propose remediation plans to effectively mitigate risks identified, and develop testing modules and conduct testing across all Deutsche Bank Americas Business activities to evaluateadherence to regulatory requirements and compliance risks

  • Identify AFC risks inherent in a Business or process and assess whether a control framework is in place to manage these risks or whether any existing control framework adequately manages the risks

  • Ensure that all findings and recommendations are entered into AFC Testing's Issue Management system, for tracking purposes, and perform required follow-up of open issues to validate proper resolution

  • Escalate potential risks and exceptions noted during testing to senior AFCT management for discussion and further investigation if deemed necessary and ensure testing is performed to according to the approved scope and in accordance with AFC Testing & QA Policies and Procedures

Skills You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Moderate experience working in a AFC risk management function pertaining to one or more of the following AFC Risk types; anti-money laundering (AML), Sanctions & Embargoes, Anti-Fraud, Anti-Bribery & Corruption

  • Experience in an Audit, Testing, Quality Assurance or Quality Control role focused on assessing AFC risk management effectiveness

  • Solid understanding and application of relevant AFC regulation and legislation (including but not limited to; the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, FinCEN CDD Rule, German AML Act, the German Banking Act, EU AML Directives, and other supporting regulations)

  • Understanding of AFC risk management framework associated with products and services offered by large multinational financial institutions, including (but not limited to), Wealth Management, Corporate Bank and Investment Bank businesses

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville FL is $75,000 to $110,750.Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
