A substantial part of the 200-acre Viking Lakes mixed-use development, this destination is home to the Minnesota Vikings headquarters, Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center and TCO Stadium. The location is easily accessible from downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, the Mall of America and airport, with additional uses for the planned development to include corporate offices, retail, restaurants and entertainment.

The 320-room luxury hotel features more than 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and pre-function space, including a 7,500-square-foot ballroom, a 4,410-square-foot event center and six two-story hospitality lounges for groups and meeting planners to utilize. From small board meetings, conferences and large galas or special events to Sunday football tailgates and more, the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel accommodates groups of all sizes with its robust meetings offerings, multiple food and beverage venues, a signature spa and state-of-the-art fitness facilities.



Job Description

Omni Viking Lakes Hotel is seeking a Loyalty Ambassador. This team member will effectively provide administrative support to the General Manager and be the guest liaison for Select Guests.

Salary for this position starts at (based on experience): $20.00/hour. Full Time Associates at Omni Viking Lakes are entitled to elect the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and other healthcare benefits, Paid Maternity Leave, 401k and Paid Time Off Accrual. Responsibilities

    Create memorable experiences for our Select Guests during their stay.
  • Welcome Select Guests upon arrival and ensure all their requests and needs are met throughout their stay.
  • Resolve any concerns or issues with Select Guest, communicating any needs or special requests to fellow hotel departments.
  • Arrange Select Guest and special occasion amenities via In-Room Dining.
  • Conduct Loyalty Program training with other Front Office and hotel associates.
  • Conduct monthly Loyalty meetings with relevant hotel associates.
  • Promote the Select Guest program to guests that are current not members.
  • Maintain Select Guest product inventories.
  • Conduct guestroom inspections prior to Select Guest arrival.
  • Develop relationships with Select Guests and serve as their point of contact for any hotel or program questions.
  • Will assist in Front Office operations as needed.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
  • Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained.
  • Be actively engaged with our guests and deliver memorable guest experiences.
  • Create unique, personalized WOW moments at every opportunity.
  • Supports the Executive Operating Committee.
  • Extensive administrative duties and responsibilities; communication and distribution of daily/weekly/monthly reports and correspondence to corporate office and ownership, operation procedures, handling confidential material and information, daily distribution of the mail, daily check deposit of accounts receivables.
  • Responsible for obtaining signatures of approval for all internal and external routing of check requests, expense reports, project expenditure approval forms (PEA), performance evaluations and other confidential correspondence as necessary, and distribute in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage schedules for the General Manager.
  • Manage day-to-day guest relations and corporate guest relations, all external guest correspondence and internal communications; including Daily Medallia Reports, ELMER, Synergy input and Reports, and Guest Alerts.
  • Maintain guest relations files and ensures that all information is included in file, i.e. guest correspondence, letters, fax, emails, information, guest folios, gift certificates, etc.
  • Maintain Gift Certificate Log to include value, purpose, date issued and date redeemed.
  • Coordinate all travel arrangements including; reservations, transportation, golf, amenities, and in-house meetings and events for VIP's, corporate and ownership visits.
  • Maintain reader files for upcoming meetings, VIP guests, meetings and events, etc.
  • Maintain hotel licenses, permits, contracts and certificates of insurance.
  • Assist Accounts Payable with monthly reconciliation billing as needed.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience.
  • Education - Associate Degree preferred
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 40 wpm
  • Previous experience in high customer contact environment; with previous experience answering customer questions and handling customer concerns.
  • Must possess the ability to multi-task in a busy environment, follow through successfully on guest requests, ensure guest satisfaction, and work as a team player.
  • Must be service and detail oriented; possessing a friendly approachable demeanor and strong problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work with and sit at a computer workstation for an extended period of time.

Working Environment:

  • Interior of hotel
  • Occasional travel around property with exposure to outside weather conditions.
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals
