Accounting Summer Intern This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate accounting within a private equity-backed company. You'll work alongside experienced professionals and gain exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, and operational analysis in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our finance and accounting team. About the Role: As an Accounting Intern, you will support the Finance team in analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and assisting with various projects that drive business insights and operational efficiency. This role is ideal for someone eager to learn, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is interested in a future career in finance, consulting, or private equity. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports. Help with account reconciliations and review of general ledger activity. Organize and analyze financial data to assist in identifying trends and variances. Help prepare supporting documentation for internal and external reporting requirements. Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities under guidance from senior staff. Contribute to ad hoc accounting and financial analysis projects as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure accuracy. What We're Looking For: Current student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. Strong interest in corporate finance, private equity, or financial analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with data tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL) is a plus. Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles. Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to producing accurate work. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Excellent communicator with a willingness to learn and take initiative. Why Work with AB Staffing?
