We're actively seeking a talented Sr Data Engineer, People Analytics to join our People Analytics team in Newport Beach, CA (preferred) or Omaha, NE or Charlotte, NC.

The Sr. Data Engineer, People Analytics will play a critical role in designing, building and delivering secure, scalable HR data pipelines and governance frameworks that power enterprise-wide insights. This role is ideal for a data engineering professional passionate about building robust data foundations for advanced analytics and AI-driven workforce strategies.

You will partner closely with HRIS, IT, and Enterprise Data Governance teams to architect solutions that ensure people data is accurate, consistent, and accessible. Your work will enable actionable insights through reusable datasets, automated pipelines, and enterprise-grade governance practices.

How You'll Help Us Move Forward:

  • Design, build, and maintain SQL-based pipelines and datasets in Snowflake.

  • Integrate data from multiple HR systems (Workday, Viva Glint, Viva Insights, LMS) into trusted, reusable datasets.

  • Implement ETL processes and optimize data models for scalability and performance.

  • Establish and maintain HR data governance standards, including a People Data Dictionary and metric definitions.

  • Implement data quality controls, KPIs, and monitoring processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Document data pipelines, definitions, and governance processes for transparency and sustainability.

  • Support HR dashboards and reporting through Power BI and other visualization tools.

  • Enable self-service analytics by creating well-documented, reusable datasets.

  • Partner with HRIS, IT, and Enterprise Data Governance to ensure secure, scalable architecture.

  • Train and coach stakeholders on data literacy and governance best practices.

The Experience You Bring:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree (preferred) in data science, data analytics, computer science, information systems, business administration, human resources, or a related technical field.

  • 5-8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related technical roles (HR data experience preferred)

  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining data warehouses, custom ETL pipelines, data modeling, and integrating structured/unstructured data.

  • Advanced technical proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, Workday, Power BI, and Alteryx.

  • Experience with ETL tools or data pipeline orchestration platforms.

  • Solid understanding of enterprise data governance principles and HR data privacy best practices (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

  • Experience working with sensitive HR/people data in a secure and compliant environment.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and partner effectively across all levels of an organization.

  • Experience building Power BI dashboards using data visualization and storytelling best practices.

  • Experience training and coaching stakeholders on data literacy, data adoption, and actionable insights.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$134,280.00 - $164,120.00
