THE JOB: The Vice President of Marketing provides strategic executive leadership and oversight for all aspects of the property's marketing functions, including Special Events, Database Marketing, Casino Marketing, Advertising and Brand Management, and Public Relations. This role is accountable for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive revenue growth, customer engagement, and brand equity, ensuring alignment with the company's business objectives, brand standards, and financial goals. As a member of the Property Executive Committee, the Vice President of Marketing contributes to the broader strategic planning of the organization, helping shape both short- and long-term vision and performance goals. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of competitive market dynamics, data-driven decision making, multi-channel communications, and brand development.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
The Vice President of Marketing serves as a key member of the Executive Committee, supporting the Property President in the development and execution of the property's Strategic Marketing Plan. This role oversees the annual marketing budget, P&L, and related expenses to ensure alignment with business and financial goals. In partnership with Corporate Centers of Excellence (COE), the Vice President leads strategy and execution across customer segmentation, marketing reinvestment, test-and-learn programs, the marketing calendar, direct marketing, player events and promotions, and all aspects of Casino Marketing, including host strategy and database-driven campaigns. They partner on the development of the annual advertising plan, ensuring creative and media strategies reflect brand positioning and business priorities. The role manages local media and sponsorship relationships and leads related contract negotiations. Working closely with the Marketing Analytics COE, the Vice President drives a culture of data-informed decision-making and continuous optimization. They set and monitor service standards within all marketing functions to ensure brand consistency and high-quality guest experiences. This leader fosters a high-performance culture across reporting teams, with a focus on collaboration, development, and inclusion. The role ensures close alignment with departments such as Slots, Table Games, Food & Beverage, Hotel, Entertainment, Retail, and other operational areas, while maintaining compliance with safety standards and supporting a unified brand experience.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of six years of progressive leadership in marketing, casino marketing, or a related field within a major hospitality or casino resort environment. They bring extensive management experience, including overseeing large, multi-functional teams focused on driving revenue and guest engagement. This individual has a deep understanding of casino marketing strategies, customer segmentation, and reinvestment tactics, as well as hands-on experience leveraging analytics and database tools to inform marketing decisions. Strong project management skills and the ability to make timely, effective decisions are essential. The candidate excels at building and executing strategic marketing plans in fast-paced environments and demonstrates a track record of collaboration across diverse business units. Regional gaming experience is strongly preferred, along with a commitment to operational excellence and team development.
