Get to Know Your Team: UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with a Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians, and a full complement of subspecialty groups. Responsibilities Prepare patients for radiologic technologist to perform diagnostic procedures in a manner that ensures an accurate and complete examination/treatment by complying with established policies and procedures. Organizes and documents all aspects of assigned patient care in coordination with radiologists, nursing personnel, and other areas of the department to ensure accurate and timely performance of radiology procedures. Participates in performance improvement activities by participating in the collection of data for performance improvement activities to ensure quality is consistent with established standards. Qualifications Job Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent Enrolled in an AMA approved Radiology program. Knowledge and ability to operate all radiology/imaging equipment. CPR Certified Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire date Knowledge and use of all Diagnostic radiation producing equipment to set parameters. Ability to use equipment with a technologist. Independent use of clinical knowledge and experience. Knowledge of radiation safety Good communication skills Understanding of patient needs all ages Basic computer skills
