Service Management Technician Intern at our brand new corporate headquarters in Milwaukee, WI.

Job Description:

To provide support of various computer hardware and software throughout the corporate environment, including the device imaging, installation, maintenance, and user support for all of the personal computer hardware and software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND ACCOUNTABILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the device imaging, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance for all of the personal computer software and hardware (including laptops, desktops, iPads).
  • Maintains an up-to-date inventory of all of the computer hardware and software in use at Rite-Hite, and makes recommendations for servicing equipment based on this history.
  • Maintains efficient operation of the personal computer hardware and software through proper setup, problem investigation, and problem resolution.
  • Uses knowledge of hardware, software, business processes, and application systems to resolve issues and provide end-user implementation support.
  • Responsible for documenting any known issues or problems found, and for communicating the solutions to these problems to the end-users and the rest of the I.T. support staff.
  • Provides client operating system updates and patches.
  • Has daily contact with peers within the I.T. Department and all Rite-Hite computer users.

Required Experience:

  • Pursuing an education with an emphasis in I.T. or Business preferred or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered.
  • Is expected to have, or the ability to learn applications used by Rite-Hite, including: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, and TopDesk.
  • Certifications in any of these application areas would be considered a plus.
  • Ability to manage concurrent assignments.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
