ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

The Business Development Manager partners with Sales to drive revenue growth, client retention, and satisfaction within a defined territory or market segment. They apply ATI and technology expertise, along with strong business acumen, to support a consultative selling approach. By increasing customer and sales rep awareness of SITA's solutions, they help strengthen capabilities across key Business Lines: Communications & Infrastructure, Baggage Management, Airport Operations, Passenger Operations, and Border Management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Drive Business Growth - Collaborate with Sales Reps to generate new leads, upsell/cross-sell within accounts, and maintain a strong pipeline aligned with SITA's capabilities.
  • Build Executive Relationships - Establish trusted, ongoing engagement with executive buyers, business partners, and industry associations across market segments.
  • Execute Demand Generation - Run targeted outreach (e.g., webinars, presentations) to boost awareness and interest in specific SITA products within key verticals.
  • Support Prospecting & Discovery - Partner with Sales Reps in early-stage customer meetings and workshops to develop qualified opportunities and solutions.
  • Accelerate Pipeline & Strategy - Influence deal progression by advising on pricing, positioning, and competitive tactics; maintain accurate forecasts and CRM data.
  • Support Proposal Development - Help shape solution offerings in proposals and RFP responses, ensuring inclusion of up-to-date content and value messaging.
  • Deliver Competitive Insights - Equip sales teams with intelligence on competitor strategies, pricing, and positioning to enhance their effectiveness in the field.
  • Handle Objections - Provide clear responses to common customer concerns, improving sales messaging and influencing future product development.
  • Promote Customer Success Stories - Collaborate with internal teams to showcase impactful case studies that demonstrate the value of SITA solutions.
  • Create Sales Playbooks - Develop tailored sales tools and messaging to improve efficiency and consistency in customer engagement across buying centers.

Qualifications

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS:

  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in driving revenue growth through sales and/or business development.
  • 3+ years of industry-specific experience, ideally within the ATI (Air Transport Industry) sector.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience in airport construction or infrastructure projects, with working knowledge of IT systems integration, technical drawings, and design documentation.
  • Consistent track record of exceeding sales targets and contributing to business growth.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Experienced in developing and executing business development plans, including market assessment, data analysis, tracking, and consolidation.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or MBA preferred for advanced business and strategic competencies.

Pay Transparency Nondiscrimination Provision

In the U.S. (New York), the standard base pay range for this role is $100K - $115K Annual. This base pay range is for the U.S. and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance, and location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
