Job Overview

As a Product Support Manager at Komatsu, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple branch locations for service and parts functions, as well as overseeing all aftermarket customer product support activities. You will work closely with corporate functions and other branches to ensure consistent and profitable programs for the sale and delivery of quality products and services to customers.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Monitor and advise on all service department matrix, including Billable hours, Revisits, Warranty Recovery, Service Truck Recovery, Shop Supply Recovery, Operating Profit, Gross Margins, and Sales Volumes.
  • Generate new service business sales through the development and deployment of service marketing strategies, including equipment lifecycle services for construction, utility, and mining customers' equipment.
  • Manage regional Warranty Department to ensure all Factory Campaigns are completed and reimbursement is achieved.
  • Negotiate and manage interfaces between departments and OEM suppliers regarding contract commitments, RAMPs, Cap Cost, and value-added/lifecycle programs.
  • Support and develop company policy and procedures, maintaining appropriate policies for service operations, compliance, and safety.
  • Perform additional duties as required to achieve company goals and increase overall profitability.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of distributor business operations and customer requirements, with direct P&L responsibility.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written.
  • Knowledge of database software, Internet software, manufacturing software, and order processing systems.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly.
  • Demonstrated planning and organizing skills.
  • Highly organized and efficient time manager.
  • Ability to create and maintain accurate forecasts and develop tools for planning.
  • Ability to react well under pressure and accept responsibility.
  • Demonstrated accuracy, thoroughness, and productivity.
  • Observance of safety procedures and reporting of unsafe conditions.
  • Adaptability to changes in the work environment and flexibility in work schedules with extensive travel required.
