*Description*
The Data Center Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and administration of IT infrastructure across data centers and network distribution facilities. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. *Primary Responsibilities* *Infrastructure & Hardware* * Install and maintain IT infrastructure including switches, servers, and related hardware * Deploy and support UPS and rack-mounted power systems * Install and maintain structured cabling and campus wiring *System Administration* * Ensure hardware and software are up to date with proper patch levels * Maintain technical documentation for server infrastructure * Coordinate with vendors for system maintenance and support *Operational Support* * Maintain server rooms and ensure compliance with standards and security policies * Accurately manage assets using monitoring and asset management tools * Support infrastructure change management processes *Additional Duties* * Participate in audit and compliance activities * Conduct asset tagging, labeling, and inventory tracking * Survey data center environments and document equipment * Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed * Occasionally lift up to 60 pounds with or without assistance *Technical Skills* * Proficient in copper and fiber cabling installation and termination * Familiar with asset and infrastructure change management * Experience with audit and compliance reporting * Strong understanding of server room operations and best practices *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
