Job Description

The Senior Director, GAI Strategy role will shape the future of the Open VisaNet (OVN) program by harnessing the power of GAI and machine learning. This includes driving the Program's GAI strategy across all disciplines (product, architecture, engineering, quality and devsecops), fostering collaborative engagement, and leading initiatives to deliver quantifiable benefits through cutting-edge AI solutions. Partnering with a wide range of stakeholders, both within the OVN program and across Visa's Technology team in gathering, documenting, and analysing data in support of GAI business cases, project proposals, and system requirements. Utilizing proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of GAI system investments and ensuring the power and benefits of GAI is promoted across the OVN program and throughout Visa.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive GAI strategy for the Open VisaNet program that aligns with Visa's goals and industry trends

  • Identify GAI opportunities, develop prioritized GAI roadmaps with quantifiable ROI and high-level LOE across all areas of the Program, gaining Leadership team buy-in to proceed from inception through to implementation

  • Collaborate across our Architecture and Engineering teams by designing and developing AI solutions to enhance automation across our CI/CD pipeline, processes and procedures

  • Ensure all solutions are scalable, reliable and resilient , whilst also meeting or exceeding Visa's industry-leading Cyber Security standards

  • Have the courage to challenge current processes and procedures searching for new and better approaches. Identify AI use cases, create efficiencies, and mitigate potential risks

  • Plan, prepare, and conduct engaging and informative workshops and training to drive adoption and maximize usage across the program

  • Monitor the AI regulatory and industry landscape ensuring that the OVN program remains at the forefront of advancements and trends in guiding Visa's wider GAI strategy

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

12+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 9 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 15+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience

Bachelor's degree in business or systems-related field and 12+ years in technology/analytics, with 5+ years leading AI initiatives in a consulting firm, tech provider, or enterprise innovation team

Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, data science tools (Python/R, SQL), ML frameworks and cloud AI platforms (Azure, AWS)

Ability to translate AI capabilities into business value, build AI roadmaps, and advise executives on AI adoption

Strong communication skills, with experience leading workshops, presenting to executives, and simplifying complex AI topics for a wide-ranging audience

Proven ability to build matrixed teams, drive AI initiatives, and manage multiple projects concurrently

A hands-on problem solver with a can do attitude, and the ability to find creative solutions to drive results

Deep understanding of AI governance, data privacy, and responsible AI best practices

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 184,100.00 to 267,050.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
