DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Business Analyst 1, you will be assisting the M5 Division Manager with current and future M5 development projects, where you will learn how to analyze data and trends as well as gain independence as the technical point of contact for all M5 issues. You will have the opportunity to serve as a liaison between the Bureau of Vehicle Management and various state agencies on monthly commute usage entry issues. Work involves testing system upgrades, identifying problems prior to rollouts, developing reports, and coordinating system trainings. Having the ability to work as a team is essential as you will be collaborating with Office of Administration IT and Assetworks IT support regarding M5 user issues and acting as a consultant on all matters concerning the M5 system to M5 users. Additional responsibilities include:
- Updating the monthly Commute Usage Entry Tracking database
- Assisting with developing work methods, policies, procedures, and end user manuals
- Defining job responsibilities and tailoring menu structure within the application to accommodate the bureau's specific needs
- Monitoring system functionality and providing recommendations of future interface requirements
- Researching inquiries and providing responses to Right-to-Know requests, the Press, as well as Legislative and upper management
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. More information will be provided during the interview.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Other Requirements:
