As Nurse Manager of this 28-bed, state-of-the-art unit in our South Tower, you'll champion a team that delivers high-acuity hematology, gynecologic, and neuro-oncology care, supported by breakthrough therapies and a collaborative, Magnet-recognized culture.
This Role Offers You the Opportunity To: *Drive operational excellence by managing daily clinical and administrative functions for a high-performing team of RNs, PCAs, technicians, and clerical staff. *Strategically oversee staffing, scheduling, and flex resource utilization based on patient flow and acuity. *Lead with data: forecast and manage budgets, ensuring alignment with benchmarks such as Paid Hours Per Patient Day and WHPPD. *Inspire a culture of quality through continuous improvement programs, patient experience initiatives, and evidence-based practice. *Uphold compliance standards while advancing nursing practice through the UVA shared governance model. *Recruit, develop, and retain talent through meaningful engagement, coaching, and professional development. *Foster strong interdisciplinary partnerships with physicians, clinical leaders, and administrative counterparts to drive patient-centered outcomes. Successful candidates would be able to demonstrate: -5+ years of experience in Oncology Nursing in an inpatient setting -Leadership experience in Oncology Nursing in an inpatient setting. -ONCC/ONS Oncology
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS For Dialysis Nurse Manager: As required by job be a full-time employee of the facility; have at least 12 months of experience in clinical nursing, and an additional 6 months of experience in providing nursing care to patients on maintenance dialysis.
