Position Title: CMM Programmer
Wage: $30-$36/hour Based on experience Shift: 1st Hours: 6am-3:30pm QPS Employment Group is hiring a CMM Programmer for a company in Kenosha, WI. This is an associate to hire role. CMM Programmer Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to create effective and efficient CMM programs - Develop CMM fixturing with engineering and tooling to simplify CMM set ups - Execute CMM programs and analyze results to ensure compliance with quality standards - Conduct first-article inspections and in-process inspections - Effectively mark parts with machining moves to meet customer specifications - Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot measurement issues and implement corrective actions - Train and mentor other staff on CMM programming and measurement techniques when necessary - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance measurement processes and efficiency - Use statistical tools such as QC-Calc to monitor and maintain process capability - Complete 100%-dimensional layouts for PPAP as needed - Operate multiple CMM's simultaneously to support production checks during the shift - Perform routine maintenance and calibration of CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability - Stay updated with advances in CMM technologies and measurement techniques - Develop, modify, and optimize CMM programs using PC-DMIS software CMM Programmer Requirements: - Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) - Proven experience as a CMM Programmer using PCDMIS software for complex parts - Proficiency in CMM programming using PCDMIS software - Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles - Familiarity with CAD software and ability to read technical drawings - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards - Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting - Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) methodologies - Certification in metrology or quality control (e.g., ASQ, Six Sigma) is a plus - Experience with different types of measuring equipment (e.g., laser scanners, optical comparators) is desirable - Casting and machining knowledge preferred QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
