Instrument Technician

SUMMARY:

SNF Flopam, a subsidiary of SNF Holding Company, is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician. This role reports to the I&E Supervisor, as part of the Maintenance department. The I&C Technician will perform troubleshooting and maintenance activities on a wide range of equipment and systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoot and repair control systems (DCS & PLC)
• Troubleshoot and repair control valves, level, temperature, pressure, and flow meters
• Execute preventative maintenance on all instrumentation equipment
• Read and interpret wire diagrams, spec sheets, loop drawings, and P&ID's
• Maintain accurate records including calibration forms and P&ID's
• Update and follow daily maintenance schedule
• Perform preventative and routine analyzer maintenance for various platforms and technologies
• Maintain good housekeeping. Ensure tools and equipment are in good working order

• Associate degree or certification in Instrumentation Technology
• NCCER or able to Pass NCCER test on-site
• Must have 5 to 7 years experience
• Candidate must successfully pass a fit test and be physically able to wear a respirator
• Mentor junior technicians
• Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment
• Use of a HART protocol Communicator
• Must be proficient in troubleshooting using loop drawing and P&ID's
• Working knowledge of chemical manufacturing preferred
• Must be able to work callouts and overtime when support is needed
• Must be able to use standard safety equipment
• Able to climb ladders/stairs and work at heights
• Able to work in tight or closed in spaces
