What Your Job Will Be Like: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate System Engineer to join our Environmental, Safety and Health (ES&H) Information and Requirements Management team. This role is integral to our digital journey, with a strong emphasis on data analytics as a driving force behind our decision-making processes. The successful candidate will support the development, execution, integration, and maintenance of advanced reporting and analytics functionalities. Working closely with ES&H program leads and data warehouse subject matter experts, the candidate will enhance data interaction and reporting capabilities for a comprehensive, center-wide measures and metrics program. Key responsibilities will include overseeing ES&H data integration and coordination, addressing partner requests for information, data, and functionality, and ensuring seamless data warehouse integration. The candidate will play a pivotal role in integrating performance measures by leveraging data analytics to extract actionable insights that support operational excellence and strategic initiatives, making this position ideal for someone passionate about harnessing the power of data to drive impactful change within the organization. On any given day, you may be called on to:
Continuous Improvement: Participate in structured improvement activities and lessons learned forums to support the implementation of the digital journey roadmap and measures and metrics program. Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in data analysis and visualization.
This position is hybrid, where the selected applicant can work a combination of onsite and offsite work. The selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary. Salary Range: $99,400 - $193,600 *Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential. About Our Team: The ES&H Information and Requirements Management department develops integrated processes and offers centralized resources for Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H). Our focus is on supporting the workforce and our partners, contributing to both tactical and strategic initiatives across ES&H through a dynamic systems approach. Our responsibilities encompass requirements and obligation management, alignment of management systems, ESHield management and data integration, information technology alignment, information management, measures and metrics, and management of change. Position Information: This Limited Term Employee (LTE) position is a temporary position for one year term, which may be renewed at Sandia's discretion up to a maximum of seven years. Individuals in LTE positions may bid on regular Sandia positions as internal candidates, and in some cases may be converted to regular career positions during their term if warranted by ongoing operational needs, continuing availability of funds, and satisfactory job performance.
