Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing. Each person is expected to help out in whatever duties are required to deliver a quality product on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

    Completes all phases of the design process including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration on small to larger projects.
  • Ensures interior finish materials and construction installation techniques meet applicable codes and performance requirements.
  • Meets with product vendors to qualify material specifications and update catalogs.
  • Assists in problem solving. Works on medium to large size projects, coordinating with other disciplines. Assists in developing design concepts with Sr. Interior Designer or Project Architect.
  • Checks layouts or specifications on projects in coordination with other disciplines.
  • Designs and prepares interior finish presentation boards for review by clients under the direction of others.
  • Processes shop drawings, checks to ensure quality accuracy and completeness.
  • Responsible for quality and accuracy of discipline specifications and construction/ installation documents.
  • Prepares addendums and bulletins.
  • Works independently and completes assignments with minimal guidance and supervision, coordinating with other disciplines.
  • Prepares technical specifications to suit project design requirements.
  • May serve as job captain in multiple or medium to large multi-discipline projects.
  • Prepares cost estimates and budgets.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Architecture or Interior Design required.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience preferred.
  • Prevailing architectural software experience preferred.
