Teach general education classes with a music focus, undergraduate music history classes, graduate period and genre courses, research & bibliography, and graduate seminars in areas of specialized interest.

The UMKC Conservatory seeks people who will help build the future of education and research in the performing arts. This position is a 9-month, full-time, benefit eligible, unranked/non-tenure track academic position.

Evidence of a successful and innovative approach to music history pedagogy as applied to a university setting; demonstrated ability to work effectively with both graduate and undergraduate students and to support students of diverse identities and experiences; Ph.D. in Musicology or Music History (ABD considered, as long as degree is completed by time of appointment).

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
