2025 Management Grade 122 $74,904 - midpoint $90,595
2025 Management Grade 120 $57,952 - midpoint $72,500

SUMMARY:

The City of Peoria Community Development Department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Grants Coordinator or Association Grants Coordinator depending on the qualifications of applicant. This position will work with Federal, State and private funders to comply with grant regulations as well as interacting with other City Departments and local community development partner organizations. An ideal candidate would bring knowledge, creativity, and a strong desire to improve the community. The Department is looking for a candidate with experience in affordable housing development, federal grant experience and grant reporting and monitoring.



Examples of Duties

IMPORTANT ATTRIBUTES: Knowledge of principles and practices of grant administration; financial administration, accounting and budgeting; community planning and development; proposal development and grant writing; applicable state, federal, and local ordinances, laws, rules, and regulations; and methods and techniques of research, statistical analysis and report presentation. Skill in researching, compiling, and summarizing a variety of informational and statistical data and materials; organizing work, setting priorities, meeting critical deadlines, and following up on assignments with a minimum of direction; using a computer terminal to accurately and rapidly enter and retrieve data and information; using tact, discretion, initiative, and independent judgment within established guidelines; and communicating clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional periodicals and journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.

MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have the mental and physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is performed in a normal office environment with little exposure to outdoor temperatures or dirt and dust. Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Public Administration, Economics, Business Administration, Political Science, or related field; and two to four years progressively responsible related experience required. Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job, considered. Associate Grant Coordinator position has a zero to two year progressively responsible work experience requirement.
