Overview

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking a Journeyman Computer User Support Specialist to join our team on an upcoming contract to support the Unites States Coast Guard USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) Information Systems Division (ISD) in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The USCG ALC ISD provides development, security, and operations (DevSecOps) IT support for products and services for the Coast Guard Information Officer (CIO), Commandant, and Coast Guard Cyber Command through a geo-dispersed workforce including military, civilians, an contractor personnel committed to supporting the USCG's missions and requirements of the leading growing interconnectivity, increased reliance on data and networks, and development of commercial space and artificial intelligence systems.

Position is on-site with off-site capabilities.



Duties & Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the Journeyman Computer User Support Specialist include:

    Provide Tier 1 support services to computer users.
  • Answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, or via telephone or electronically.
  • May provide assistance concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, E-mail, and operating systems.
  • Provides phone and in person support to users in the areas of E-mail, directories, standard Windows desktop applications, and other applications.
  • May serve as the initial POC for troubleshooting network applications, and hardware/software PC and printer problems.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Create user accounts and troubleshoot the user issues. Create and update documents such as SOPs, user guides, security, and performance logs.


Qualifications

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, or related field or at minimum IT Certification.
    • Note: Two (2) years' experience is equivalent to one (1) year of education.
  • Two (2) years' experience in help desk support. Including one (1) year of experience
  • includes knowledge of PC operating systems, e.g., Windows, as well as networking and e-mail standards and work on a help desk. Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing and a positive customer service attitude.
  • One (1) year of experience with using ITSM Tools such as Remedy Help Desk or ServiceNow.
  • Experience providing root cause analysis and technical support.
  • One (1) year of experience in Agile DevSecOps software and engineering environment and Methodologies.
  • One (1) year of experience with Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent.
