Our large health insurance client is launching a significant initiative to bring its Behavioral Health operations from a third-party provider to an in-house model. This transition will affect multiple departments and roles, requiring comprehensive training to ensure employees are prepared for the go-live at the end of 2025. To support this initiative, they would like to build a small team of experienced Instructional Designers.
As an Instructional Designer on this project, you will be fully dedicated to developing training content for one or more functional areas. Your work will involve designing and delivering a blend of eLearning and instructor-led training (ILT) that equips employees with the knowledge and skills needed to adapt to new systems, processes, and responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop a mix of eLearning and instructor-led training (ILT) solutions tailored to assigned departments
Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather content through interviews and review existing documents.
Translate complex, technical, or process-heavy information into clear, engaging, and effective learning experiences.
Create high-quality training deliverables that align with adult learning principles and business goals.
Ensure training solutions are instructionally sound, visually appealing, and aligned with the organization's tone and standards.

Instructional design experience with a portfolio demonstrating eLearning and ILT projects
Expert knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM, etc.)
Proficiency in Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise), Photoshop, and SnagIt
Experience gathering content from subject matter experts and working with minimal existing materials
Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to adapt to different work styles and personalities
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, self-directed environment without sacrificing quality
Background in health insurance, healthcare, or behavioral health training is preferred but not required
Experience supporting large-scale organizational change initiatives
A background check and drug screen are required for the selected consultants

The pay range for this is $55.00 to $70.00 per hour. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
