Description
Hazmat Coordinator Position title: Hazmat Coordinator Reports to: BSC Store Manager Supervises: Driver Position summary: The Hazardous Materials Coordinator (Hazmat) (SSA) prepares for the receipt of materials and arrange such for distribution or storage; they are capable of moving and loading or unloading equipment, materials, and products; operating or tending equipment used to transfer material; driving forklifts and related material-handling machinery and equipment. The Hazmat Coordinator also verifies the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records. Examines materials delivered to verify if material that was delivered was the type specified and checks for damaged goods. Uses computerized systems to compile reports of quantity and type of material on hand and what materials have been delivered. Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
