Position Summary Instructor for Emergency Life Support classes, specifically American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/ACLS/PALS. Assist in coordination of AHA Training Center operations to ensure Valley Health System maintains compliance with certification requirements based on job descriptions. * Provides direct support to the Training Center Coordinator and acts as liaison between the staff, management, community, aligned instructors and the Training Center Coordinator. Education Bachelor's Degree (preferably, Business, Education or Health Field Related) Current New Jersey Licensed Medical Paramedic or Nursing License Skills AHA BLS/ACLS/PALS Certification required, instructor preferred. Previous AHA BLS & ACLS Training Center Manager preferred. Excellent organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively (oral and written). Ability to effectively interact with customers to meet their needs. Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment. The ability to manage frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to set priorities, make effective decisions and respond to customer needs. Ability to solve problems and prioritize. Use discretion in confidential matters. Working Conditions Environmentally controlled office and outside environments, in addition to environments other than those managed by the Valley Health System. Travel through the health system facilities and to non-system training venues in all types of weather conditions. *Position requires walking or standing to a significant degree and entails pushing and/or pulling to move objects. May require lifting 10 to 20 pounds.
