School of Performing Arts: The School of Performing Arts is part of the College of Arts and Humanities and comprises the Music and Theatre programs with more than 100 faculty and staff serving more than 1,000 undergraduate and graduate students earning degrees in the performing arts as well as thousands of students from other majors across the university taking music, theatre and dance classes. It produces outstanding practitioners, educators, and scholars in Music and Theatre while fostering a strong relationship between the community and the artists. The Opportunity: At the direction of the Technical Director, the Assistant Technical Director will lead daily operations of the scene shop, including teaching lab classes and supervising student crews and over-hire labor. This role supports the full life cycle of scenic production-building, installing, and striking scenery for departmental productions. This is a hands-on position that combines technical expertise with mentorship and instructional responsibilities. Responsibilities:
