Supervises the campus financial and offices and veteran's affairs office. Responsible for managing relations at the college and community level. Provides administrative leadership to front line staff to ensure that students, campus offices and the public are provided a high level of service and support.
Essential Duties
Supervises management of all campus financial aid offices and veteran's affairs office.
Works with Associate Director, Assistant Director of Operations & Compliance and Financial Aid Counselors to maintain departmental and college compliance with federal and state statutes and regulations through training and education.
Provides ongoing training for new and existing financial aid staff on policies, procedures, and customer service.
Assists the Director of Financial Aid in monitoring and interpreting statutory and regulatory policies then advises the Director as appropriate.
Troubleshoots and solve difficult issues too complex for other staff supervised by this position, including ensuring that student issues are resolved when possible at the campus level.
Coordinates of financial aid education initiatives including community requests for financial aid information.
Serves as a Financial Aid liaison with other college offices and departments.
Coordinates community engagement initiatives and requests.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Higher Education, Educational Leadership, or Counseling and Student Personnel or a related field. Degree requirement may be substituted with equivalent work experience.
3 years experience with Title IV aid processing and regulations and experience advising and counseling students and families.
Supervisory experience.
Training experience in financial aid.
Experience creating policies and procedures related to Financial Aid.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively with all student populations and all college service areas.
