Internship - Drug Metabolism & Pharmacokinetics

Seeking an Undergraduate student intern to join the DMPK department within Drug Discovery & Translational Sciences, Inotiv Corp.

The internship will be primarily focused within the discipline of Bioanalysis and offers basic exposure to contemporary mass spectrometry based investigations and in-vitro assays, ranging from in vivo Pharmacokinetic analysis to in vitro Drug Metabolism.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have completed a minimum of 2 years towards a degree (B.Sc., B.A.) in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related Pharmaceutical Sciences degree granting program
• Demonstrated familiarity with a modern laboratory setting and skills manipulating reagents and/or biological media
• Ability to work within a laboratory team setting with minimum supervision
• Strong oral and written communication skills desirable
  

Job Description

• Follow SOPs and other applicable laboratory or company procedures
• Maintain confidential information
• Use computer to compile and maintain data for records via Excel or alternative software
• Participate in Laboratory Safety and Cleanliness
• Display versatility and accuracy performing laboratory operations
• Prepare solutions for use in analysis
• Perform routine sample analysis and incubations per departmental best practices
• Interact with the community and employees
• Support and participate in other company initiatives as directed by management
• Perform other duties as assigned

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or education level.
