  • Product/component level assembly
  • Optical alignment
  • Testing of optical and laser components
  • Wide range of assembly processes of precision opto-mechanical components including: soldering, adhesive bonding, UV Curing and mechanical assembly
  • Cleaning and inspecting optics
  • Cleaning and inspecting mechanical parts
  • Optical, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
  • Repair
  • General cleaning and upkeep of work area to uphold cleanroom environment
  • Follow company laser safety practices

Requirements

  • AS in Opto-Mechanical, Optics or Electronics preferred, or equivalent experience required
  • Must have 3 - 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of multimeters, oscilloscopes, optical spectrum analyzers and laser beam profiling equipment preferred
  • Ability to work in required cleanroom dress, i.e., gloves, bonnets, frocks, shoe covers, etc.
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination and dexterity
  • Proficient soldering skills
  • Ability to work with small parts under a microscope for extended periods for time
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and schematics
  • Must be organized, energetic, reliable, timely and detail oriented
  • Strong communication skills
  • Data entry skills
