DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Automotive Mechanic, you will maintain and repair vehicles, equipment, and parts. You will perform computer diagnostics on vehicles as well as repair and replace suspension components, brake systems, and electrical systems. You will also perform annual state inspections for safety and emissions and record all transactions pertaining to vehicle maintenance or repairs. This role requires the ability to use independent judgement to diagnose and perform assignments while determining proper work methods. In addition, you will keep an inventory of parts and supplies, maintain machinery, and clean the garage. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or
- Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
Special Requirements:
- You must be in possession of possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license.
- You must be in possession of a valid Class 1 PA Inspection Mechanic Certificate.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- This position requires a valid Pennsylvania Emission Inspection License. Attainment of this license can be achieved during the probationary period. Failure to obtain a valid Pennsylvania Emission Inspection License will result in the employee's removal from the position.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
