Reports to:

Commercial Lending Manager or Commercial Lender

Summary of the Job:

To perform detailed administrative services for Commercial Lenders to support growth of the loan depository portfolio.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports Commercial Lenders with loan and deposit accounts for Commercial relationships.
  • Responsible for the daily review of loan activity and any applicable additions to summary information by the Lender.
  • Work with the Commercial Lender and closing team (dependent upon region of loan) on new loan requests.
  • Work with Lender on exception reports
  • Coordinate and complete order forms for commercial loans.
  • Proof drafts for accuracy and forward as appropriate for booking and funding.
  • Performs administrative tasks for Commercial Lender, as assigned.
  • Provides exceptional service to customers and lenders.
  • Review and prepare draw requests of customers and process for approval of the commercial lender.
  • Communicates with borrower as needed.
  • Assists lenders in managing past due and maturing loans.
  • Actively manages the lender's loan portfolio to insure collateral exceptions are cleared and financial reporting requirements of commercial relationship are met.
  • Assists lenders in the preparation of pre-closing worksheets/checklists and other communications necessary to properly submit a loan package to the loan processing department.

Additional Functions:

  • Operates within division or department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
  • Prepares and facilitates customer transactions and responds to customer inquiries.
  • Provides exceptional service to coworkers
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Necessary Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record-keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.

Physical Activity/Dexterity:

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers. Works with fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.

Physical Environment Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to visit other offices, conference rooms, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and telephone.
  • Constantly positions self to operate on a computer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with other people throughout each day. Must be able to exchange accurate information when conversing.

Working Conditions/Environment:

  • Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
  • Moderate noise (e.g. business office with computers and printers, light traffic).

Work Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Available for overtime as needed.
