Talent Acquisition Specialist

Position Summary:

The Talent Operations Specialist is a critical member of the growing Apellis Talent Acquisition team.This individual will be responsible for providing an excellent candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle from interview scheduling, offer generation, background check management, and other operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities Include:



  • Provide dedicated interview support for open requirements working closely with members of the hiring team and Talent Partners.


  • Ensure candidates have an excellent experience throughout the Apellis interview process by managing expectations and providing clear communication.


  • Administer background checks, work within the ATS, generate offer letters, and initiate new hire onboarding.


  • Assist with implementation of Workday Recruiting.


  • Identify opportunities to improve Talent Acquisition processes and the candidate experience, especially as it relates to HR technology.


  • Support additional creative and strategic projects across Talent Acquisition and People Operations.



Education, Registration & Certification:

BS/BA is preferred

Experience:



  • 2+ years of relevant experience in a Talent Acquisition or Human Resources role


  • Workday Recruiting experience


  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook is required)


  • Greenhouse ATS experience preferred


  • Experience working in a globally dispersed team


  • Highly preferred: exposure to immigration processes; experience supporting hiring for sales/commercial teams



Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:



  • Strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced, high-volume environment


  • Knowledge of relevant software and systems, and a desire to deepen technology expertise


  • Demonstrated skills in project management


  • Demonstrated complex problem-solving ability and sound judgement


  • Strong team building, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills


  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision


  • Highly organized, results driven, problem solver


  • Superior written and oral communication skills and the ability to work across different levels of the organization



Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Travel Requirements:



  • Expected travel to the Company's headquarters


  • Additional travel may be required
