Position Details:

What You'll Do:

As a Tube Machine Operator, you will be at the heart of the production process-programming, operating, and machining parts that make Wabtec a leader in the heat transfer market. Your daily responsibilities include:

• Setting up and operating the tube machine to produce high-quality completed tubes.
• Assembling and inspecting parts with precision and attention to detail.
• Performing light maintenance on tube machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Assisting in training others on tube machine operation.
• Following all work instructions and safety protocols to maintain a secure and efficient workspace.
• Setting up and operating RTTS and aluminum tube machines.
• Contributing to other areas of production as needed.

This role may require domestic and international travel, including weekends, depending on project demands.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires standing on concrete surfaces for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working with paints, oils, and solvents. Summer heat conditions should be expected, and proper PPE is mandatory for safety.

What We're Looking For:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Skills:
  
  
  
  • Basic math skills, including the use of calipers, tape measures, and micrometers.
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications and job orders.
  • Mechanical understanding of how components fit and function.
  • Basic computer skills to look up job specs and clock in/out.

  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Effective communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
  
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Epicor, ADP software, or similar ERP systems.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
