Optical Polisher

This position is responsible for performing precision polishing, deburring, and cleaning operations on a wide variety of high-finish and critical dimensioned glass parts. This position is on the first shift.

Required Skills:

  • Set up and operate a wide variety of bench equipment used to polish and clean diverse glass parts.
  • Performs critical deburring and polishing operations on hard-to-handle parts.
  • Works from drawings, specifications, written and verbal instructions.
  • Checks work with a variety of electrical-mechanical-optical and manual measuring equipment.
  • Operates small electric hand and bench tools.
  • Uses a variety of proper grit, lapping, and polishing compounds.
  • Performs any other tasks directed by Management to satisfy company objectives.

Required Experience:

  • 1+ years' experience in precision polishing and deburring of diverse-sized glass parts under magnification is preferred.
  • Must be Mechanically inclined.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available.
  • Must be able to work on U.S. government programs.
