Overview

Are you a detail-orientated professional with a knack for logistics? CAES is seeking an entry-level Expeditor to join our dynamic team in Lansdale, PA. As a key player in Operations, you'll ensure the smooth flow of materials and components, supporting our mission to deliver cutting-edge solutions for critical missions.


Responsibilities

Material Related Activities

  • Responds to requests for material. Works from computerized reports, BOMS, engineering drawings, engineering change orders and verbal or written instruction to identify material requirements
  • Monitors material flow from order to delivery. Maintains and monitors production movements throughout the facility as needed
  • Utilizes mainframe applications such as Oracle or like system
  • Performs material movements throughout the day, ensuring delivery between internal production departments are made in a timely fashion

Production Related Activities:

  • Maintains job progress and status records and notifies supervisor of impending delays or serious difficulties, recommending proper corrective action to be taken
  • Responds to material shortages due to lost, damaged or defective material in order to prevent work stoppages in area of responsibility
  • Maintains accurate records and provides regular reports on the status of material Production Planner and Operations Management
  • Ensures that engineering change orders affecting parts and material are incorporated into products by effective date
  • Performs more complex material related duties as directed by Production Planner and/or management personnel, including some of the duties associated with junior Production Planning personnel

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or Accredited GED.
  • 1 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 1 years' experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Able to carry and lift items up to 25 lbs
  • This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a "US Person" under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in defense contracting or similar industry.
  • 2+ years' experience in material/production or configuration control.
  • Familiarity with handling of Electro Static Discharge (ESD) and Painted components.
  • Use of Oracle ERP or similar systems.

Salary Range: Expeditor I $18.00 - $23.07 per hour; Expeditor II $20.41 - $29.62 per hour. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as business results.
