We have an opportunity for a Strategic Category Analyst to join our Commercial Filtration business in Hanover Park, IL. Reporting to the General Manager, you will serve as a strategic business partner and deliver insights and analytics to optimize and forecast growth and profitability for the Pentair Everpure brand portfolio globally. This position gives focus, urgency, and sharpness to the market presence of the product line. You will:

  • Develop monthly scorecards relative to sales execution, channel development, and strategic growth program's performance to help Sales and other functional leaders understand the health of the business and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting through utilization and analysis of sales and revenue reporting.
  • Partner with sales to manage the new customer acquisition process and conversion, funnel delivery, and perform post-promotion evaluation on key promotional activities to drive visibility and growth target achievement, leveraging Salesforce CRM.
  • Build and refine the model to manage our filtration systems placed in market and provide forecasting of system and cartridge replacement to understand market retention and opportunity, with the goal being a single source of truth for our filtration annuity.
  • Keep apprised of economic conditions, food service industry trends, brand KPIs, and consumer trends to translate this data into insights, sales, and opportunity forecasting, connecting the dots between multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze customer (distributors, dealers, OEMs, and key accounts) information and business trends to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.

Key Qualifications:

  • Have earned a bachelor's (B.A. or B.S.) degree in economics, marketing, finance, accounting, business management, engineering or related field.
  • Have 5+ years of professional experience in data analysis, financial analysis & planning, budgeting, accounting, or sales support, preferably within the consumer product goods, commercial food service, or manufacturing industry.
  • Experience collaborating and building positive relationships with multiple functions throughout the business to effectively make recommendations and implement process improvements.
  • Strong analytical skills, including a broad understanding of sales analytics and modeling tools/techniques to quickly identify trends, opportunities, and business solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments with a high degree of autonomy and accountability for results.
  • Ability to utilize multiple tools, databases, and/or software to produce a variety of reports, including Salesforce CRM.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (Denodo or Power BI) is helpful but not required.

Travel:

  • Up to 20% of the time for business meetings and trade shows.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $71000 - $131800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as annual incentive bonus.
