Think Consulting is actively seeking a Director of Behavioral Services to join a transformative educational institution in Baltimore, specializing in supporting students with special needs.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Facilitating Program Implementation: Lead and oversee the implementation of behavioral programs designed to enhance IEP services and improve student outcomes.



  • Behavioral Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of human behavior and child development to create effective behavioral intervention strategies.



  • Program Coordination and Management: Ensure the seamless coordination and management of programs to deliver high-quality services to students.



  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Track student progress and assess the effectiveness of programs, making adjustments as needed to improve outcomes.



  • Compliance: Ensure all programs and services meet the standards set by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and adhere to the principles of the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).




Qualifications:


  • Strong Special Education Background: Extensive experience in special education, particularly with children and adolescents who have autism and/or developmental disabilities.



  • Program Coordination and Management Experience: Proven ability to coordinate and manage programs within educational or therapeutic settings.



  • Knowledge of Regulations and Compliance: Thorough understanding of MSDE regulations, special education compliance, and the IEP process.




Education and Experience:


  • Master's Degree and current Maryland State Department of Education teaching certificate in Special Education required



  • Advanced certification preferred with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience



  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in all aspects of the special education IEP Team process



  • BCBA, Psy.D., or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C or LCPC) preferred



  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
