Position: Quality Technician I
Base pay: $26.34-$32.99
Working hours: 7am-3pm

While reporting to the Plant Quality Manager, the Quality Technician is responsible for problem solving to ensure the quality expectations of every customer, both internal and external. The Quality Technician is the primary contact for day-to-day quality activities within the plant, measuring critical product/process variables, records, or reports using appropriate tools, and utilizing information to continuously improve. What you'll be doing:
- Assist with planning, revising, maintaining, and implementation of plant quality procedures and other controlled documents.
- Completes Certificate of Analysis (COA) or Certificate of Compliance (COC) forms by obtaining manufacturing data from the computer system to demonstrate that products meet the customer's specifications.
- Perform audits on in-house and/or returned non-conforming products by following Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) Procedure.
- Trains new employees in quality standards, defect recognition and general quality procedures, and provides refresher courses for current employees.
- Assists the Plant Quality Manager in administrative duties including preparation and filing of reports, department presentations, and maintaining QA department records, electronic files, and databases.
- Investigates and assists in root cause/corrective actions for Customer Corrective Action Requests (CARs) in response to customer complaints for defective products or service issues.
- Maintains a system for management of traceability data by collecting data, entering data into databases and/or filing for minimum retention periods.
- Ability to set up and maintain plant Vision System.
- Relief of manufacturing lines.
- Perform other duties under the direction of the Plant Quality Manager.
We'd love to hear from you if:
- You have broad training in a related field, usually acquired through high school education, General Education Development (GED), or through equivalent work experience.
- 1-2 years of Quality or Manufacturing experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, write effectively, read, comprehend, and follow complicated verbal and written instruction.
- Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with all employees in various roles and departments.
- Must have mid-level computer skills to learn and utilize Microsoft Office Applications and other software and programs necessary to perform job functions.
- Ability to develop and effectively utilize problem solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement skills.
