The Division of Adolescent/Young Adult Medicine is looking for an organized professional for a full-time Program Coordinator position. The individual will serve as the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship Coordinator and the Coordinator of the Boston Leadership Education in Adolescent Health (LEAH) Training Program, as well as providing support for other educational initiatives and CME courses. This is an excellent opportunity for those with an interest in adolescent health, medical education, and/or program development and evaluation. The Program Coordinator works directly with the Boston LEAH Program Director (Sarah Pitts, MD) and with the Adolescent Medicine Fellowship Program Director (Jessica Addison, MD, MPH) and Associate Program Director (Sarah Pitts, MD).

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the Adolescent Medicine and LEAH fellowship orientations, curricula and schedules
  • Assist with maintenance of fellowship ACGME accreditation and ABP fellow certification
  • Organize Fellow recruitment and interviewing
  • Onboard incoming Fellows
  • Organize orientation for incoming Fellows
  • Support PDs and Fellows with non-patient related administrative tasks of fellowship
  • Participate in Monthly GME Committee and Coordinator Meetings
  • Manage and create the LEAH and ACGME reports for the Fellowship and LEAH program evaluation processes
  • Assist the Boston LEAH PD and the LEAH multidisciplinary training directors in preparing the LEAH grant reports and data collection
  • Collaborate with faculty members and current and former fellows to collect data on presentations, courses, and publications
  • Coordinate monthly faculty and fellow CORE Conference, including CME credits, coordinating guest speakers, agenda, and AV support
  • Coordinate rotator and observer schedules and observation
  • Manage the monthly Division calendar and update faculty and fellow Outlook calendars; provide AV support for conferences
  • Manage and update the on-call system for faculty and fellows
  • Facilitate breakfast/lunch orders for Fellow conferences
  • Organize Fellowship and LEAH related celebrations/graduation
  • Manage and expand the social media reach of Boston LEAH and the BCH Adolescent Medicine Fellowship Program
Qualifications:
  • Associates degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1 year of administrative work experience with prior experience in a hospital, research, or education setting preferred.
  • Experience and interest in health care and education
  • Experience and comfort using computer applications (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, SPSS etc.)
  • Ability to take initiative, work without direct supervision, and multi-task
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
