About the Opportunity:

As a Manifolds Laser Operator, you will work in a flowline where parts move from one tech to another. In the role you will be running a 5-axis laser to cut a profile into the Manifolds. The Laser operator also manipulates (correct/tweak) their parts to better fit the fixture. When the laser is not needed you will also be helping in the line removing the burrs from parts that were milled and modifying (grinding, bending) other details to fit the area you deburred. You will also be using a band saw to trim some length from parts that will also need deburr. You will be on your feet all day at a Laser, correction table or deburr station, but you will be moving frequently.

Location: Eastford, CT

This is a full-time role 7:00 am to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday with occasional weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Running and maintaining our 5-axis laser
• Correcting parts in the line to fit laser fixture.
• Deburr metal details using hand tools to remove burr from machining
• Countersink and ream holes with hand tools
• Bending, Blanking, Forming using a hydraulic press to manipulate the metal
• Inspect own work using basic inspection equipment and quick-check gaging
• Use Kaizen to flow parts and drive down costs
• Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time according to Company policy
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong Mechanical skills
• Ability to be on your feet all day
• Ability to use air and electric tools to remove metal
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Self-starter/motivated team player

Physical Requirements:

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
• Must be able to frequently stand and walk
• Must have basic hand tools.
