Marketing & Public Relations Coordinator- New Brunswick, NJ

Job Overview:

The Marketing & Public Relations Coordinator will support the Marketing & Communications staff. The Coordinator will assist with the planning, creation and execution of many different projects including collateral material (videos, social media post content, brochures, flyers, etc.), public relations materials (press releases), internal communications and special events. Works with both internal and external parties to initiate, organize and develop these projects. Requires excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, Marketing or a related field.
• Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Constant Contact.
• Exceptional writing skills.
• Must be able to work independently and handle multiple jobs in a deadline-driven environment.
• Competency in Hootsuite and Adobe Premier

Essential Functions:

• Internal Communications

  • Writes, edits creates and distributes internal communications via multiple channels including weekly e-newsletter, video, email, intranet and executive communication; designs and distributes internal flyers for both internal and external events.

• External Communications

  • Assists with writing and distributing articles, press releases, media alerts, etc.; writes, assists with project development of e-Newsletter, magazine articles and content ideas.
  • Helps to manage and develop social media content to support business initiatives.
  • Monitors social media analytics and service recovery opportunities via Reputation.com.
  • Develops new content and manages updates to website pages.

• External Marketing

  • Provides writing, proofreading and editing assistance for marketing materials and collateral; oversees creation and updates of promotional materials for service lines and special events; assists staff with magazine content ideas and follow-up.

• Other

  • Provides support to Marketing and Communications Staff; assists with special projects and media events; Arranges and assists with photo/video shoots; attends hospital meetings and represents department on committees as requested by Director; promotes community outreach events; writes and edits materials for leadership as needed, such as letters and speaking notes; proofs and edits materials; Ensures proper use of logo, messaging, and other branding materials.
