The Warehouse Specialist role works directly with the Warehouse Supervisor to assist with daily warehouse transactions, fulfilling and packaging orders for delivery and pickup, and handling materials and inventory to help maintain and improve the overall success of the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Process daily work orders
  • Process customer orders to ship via carrier
  • Keeps job area clean, safe and organized
  • Has the ability to retain knowledge and take notes to perform a task after being trained on that task
  • Has the ability to learn more advanced tasks once familiar with the job
  • Maintains tools and materials in a professional manner
  • Develops improved methods for fulfilling responsibilities
  • Daily cycle count and inventory reconciliation
  • Investigate inventory inaccuracy
  • Create/track performance metrics
  • Assist in continuous improvement of ERP system
  • Assist with billing and load reconciliation
  • Investigate orders that do not process correctly and correct the process
  • Assist in continuous improvement of warehouse business processes
  • Create daily, weekly, monthly reporting to warehouse supervisor and to operations manager.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.



Education: High school diploma or GED

Experience and/or Training:



  • Familiarity with basic research methods and reporting techniques
  • Familiarity with vehicle maintenance products/small parts preferred
  • Car wash install or other mechanical installation experience preferred


    Technology/Equipment:



    • Sit-down and/or standup electrical and/or propane forklift experience preferred
    • Walkie rider experience preferred
    • Proficient in MS Office and "back-office" software (e.g. ERP)
    • Proficient in DS/DSI or Zebra scan gun



    PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently asked to speak, hear, stand, sit, and/or use both hands to handle, or touch objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk, bend, distinguish colors or use repetitive movement for certain tasks. The employee must be able to lift and carry 25 to 60 lbs. occasionally and lift more than 60lbs. intermittently. PPE will be used intermittently while working with certain hazardous materials. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.



    • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and temperatures both indoor and outdoor


    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

    Warehouse environment requiring steel-toe shoes, and, at times hearing and eye protection.

    Appropriate clothing (uniforms may be provided) must be worn at all times



    • Extremely loose fitting clothing could be unsafe around powered industrial trucks (PIT) equipment
    • Very tight-fitting clothing (such as yoga pants) is not acceptable attire



    The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $22 and $24 hourly. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:



    1. Experience and qualifications: The depth of relevant experience and specific skills you bring to the position.
    2. Education and certifications: Any additional qualifications that enhance your ability to succeed in the role.
