IPG Photonics develops, manufactures and sells high-performance fiber lasers, fiber amplifiers and diode lasers that are used for diverse applications, primarily in materials processing, medical and advanced applications. We are seeking a Financial Data Modeling Specialist to play an integral role in enhancing IPG's strategic financial partnership to the business.

Job Summary:
The Financial Data Specialist is a newly created position that will be critical in supporting IPG's business reporting and analytic needs by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, data governance, and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain data models to support business reporting and analytics.
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical data specifications.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity across various data sources.
  • Design and implement data validation and cleansing processes.
  • Monitor and optimize data performance and storage.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on data-related tools and best practices
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, presentations and other analyses to communicate financial insights and recommendations.
  • Develop and optimize data analytics strategies to improve financial reporting and operational processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field with 5-8 years of demonstrated experience.
  • Proven experience in data modeling, data governance, and business intelligence, either in a corporate or consulting environment.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Robust data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with experience preparing reports for executive leadership.
  • Ability to present complex financial data in a clear, actionable format to leadership and key stakeholders.
